Sean Hewitt


Sean is a senior malaria control specialist with 29 years broad-based experience in overseas development. He holds a Master’s Degree in Medical Parasitology/Entomology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Doctorate in the epidemiology and control of malaria in Afghan refugee communities in Pakistan (also from the University of London). He has had extensive experience working in the field of vector-borne disease control holding long-term positions in the Turks and Caicos Islands (Ministry of Health/Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO), Dengue Control Coordinator), Pakistan-Afghanistan (Médecins Sans Frontières-Holland/HealthNet International, Malaria Entomologist), Vietnam (Vietnam-Australia Malaria Control Programme, Malaria Adviser) and Cambodia (European Commission-Cambodia Malaria Control Programme, Malaria Adviser).
